Sirkku Kotilainen

Sirkku Kotilainen has PhD in education and her professorship is in the Faculty of Information Technology and Communication at Tampere University, Finland. During her academic career since the millennium, she has tens of publications on media education. She belongs to the main editors of The Handbook of Media Education Research published by Wiley Blackwell in 2020. Her current research interests cover youth digital skills on disinformation and fake news (yskills.eu) and methodologies on studying children and youth in digital spheres (core-evidence.eu).
